With Kevin Weir’s retirement 6 years ago, Edip Borluca and Samantha Bryer have been successfully operating Weir Catering, and as the owners, are excited to announce a new name – B&B Catering Events. We are delighted to re-introduce the team whose combined service here exceeds 40 years. With an emphasis on seasonal and organic products, we source locally whenever possible and offer seasonal menus unique to each client. Whether it be an intimate dinner party, a wedding reception, a corporate board meeting, or a 3-day conference we provide a comprehensive approach to managing every aspect of your event.
We strive to ensure an experience where both the host and guests will remember the event for years to come.

Edip Borluca
Owner
As an Owner of B&B Catering & Events, Edip Borluca brings a visionary approach to hospitality rooted in decades of culinary excellence and leadership. Formerly the Executive Chef, Edip joined the company in 2002 and played a pivotal role in shaping the kitchen’s creative direction and operational success. Under his management, the business has more than doubled in size, attracting top culinary talent, modernizing the kitchen facility, and expanding the scope of its cuisine. A native of New York, Edip earned his culinary degree and launched his career in Manhattan’s fine dining scene, particularly in the Theater District’s elite restaurants. While he enjoys pushing culinary boundaries, his signature style is influenced by Mediterranean and Californian flavors—bringing warmth, balance, and originality to every dish. As an owner, Edip remains deeply involved in daily operations, leading with integrity, precision, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional food.
When not at work, you could find me: Hydroponic gardening, amateur astronomy or rooting for the SF Giants.
One meal I cannot live without: So many to choose from, but a good steak and fries with chimichurri is hard to beat!
Samantha Bryer
Owner
With a deep-rooted passion for the event industry, Samantha brings decades of experience and creativity to every celebration. As the former Director of Catering & Events since 2004, she expertly led logistics, menu planning, and event design, drawing on a rich background that includes ten years in sales, marketing, and event planning with Joie de Vivre Hospitality and The Four Seasons. Now as an Owner, Samantha focuses on building new client relationships and nurturing long-time partnerships—often stopping by events to personally say hello and ensure everything feels just right. A UCLA graduate with an early career in fashion, she brings an impeccable eye for design, décor, lighting, and ambiance. Both clients and team members value her thoughtful, hands-on approach and her genuine love for making every event unforgettable.
When not at work, you could find me: Spending time with my dog, Charli. We love long walks in the neighborhood, park time with her best buddies & trips to Stinson Beach or Tahoe!
One meal I cannot live without: Dessert! If I had to choose one, I’d choose a Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie Pie.
Nick Pallone
Executive Chef
Chef Nick offers a rich culinary career with notable experience at popular San Francisco establishments including Outerlands, Tosca Cafe, and Barzotto (among others). Embracing a dynamic culinary journey, he has delved into diverse gastronomic realms, including fermentation, butchery, and the intricate art of bread baking. Throughout his evolving culinary pursuits, Chef Pallone maintains an unwavering commitment to seasonality, championing locally sourced and sustainably farmed ingredients that infuse vitality into his ever-changing menus. Rooted in his Italian heritage, he brings a personal touch to his creations, often sharing anecdotes about his family's enduring "best meatball" competition. His passion for fresh, local ingredients, coupled with an extensive understanding of culinary concepts intrinsic to Bay Area food culture, propels him to constantly innovate within the kitchen.
When not at work, you could find me: With family on various Bay Area adventures, in his garden, or tinkering on his motorcycles at home.
One meal I cannot live without: My homemade spaghetti and meatballs. “There's something so comforting and nostalgic about this dish. It has always been associated with fond memories and a dish that puts me right at home.”
Miranda Cunningham
Director of Marketing & Special Projects

Miranda Cunningham joined the B&B Catering team in 2018. With experience in catering and events from The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Southern California, Miranda brings values that focus on the overall guest experience. Miranda has had the opportunity to create and execute a variety of events with B&B ranging from small intimate gatherings to large comprehensive events. With a positive attitude and a proactive approach, she is continually empowered to create unique and memorable experiences for each individual client and their guests. Over the last 7 years, Miranda has worn many hats including as an Event Specialist, the Director of Sales and the Director of Operations. Now her organization style and creativity has earned her the role as Director of Marketing & Special Projects, where she works to innovate B&B’s online presence.
When not at work, you could find me: Going on nature walks with my son, or trying new cafes & coffee shops in the area

Nahal Elie
Director of Sales & Events
Nahal Elie first joined the B&B Catering & Events team in 2015 as a part-time server and event lead. With five years of hands-on experience managing events from the floor, she developed a deep understanding of what it takes to execute seamless, memorable celebrations. In February 2020, she made the bold decision to leave the corporate IT world and bring her talents to the B&B office full-time. Drawing from her on-the-ground experience, Nahal brings insight, strategy, and warmth to every event she plans. Her long-standing relationships with clients and her eye for detail allow her to create events that feel both personal and polished. Thanks to her strong organizational skills and natural leadership, Nahal was promoted to Director of Sales & Events in early 2024—a role she embraces with energy, creativity, and a true passion for the industry.
When not at work, you could find me: Spending time with my pup, Berkley, or trying new restaurants in the area.
One meal I cannot live without: Sushi!!
Pinya Surin
HR Specialist / Staffing Manager
Pinya Surin began her hospitality journey at a young age in Chicago, spending time in her family's Thai restaurants. She learned early on that people of all backgrounds can come together jovially over a shared meal which ignited her passion and service for hospitality. In 2013, Pinya took on managerial positions with One Off Hospitality's taco bar, Big Star, and in 2016, their Italian seafood concept, Nico Osteria. These experiences taught her the full spectrum of hospitality management. In 2018, Pinya moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue her dream of fine dining hospitality with Michelin three-star Chef Dominique Crenn of Atelier Crenn. You may rest assured that Pinya will utilize her highly faceted skill sets to curate a memorable experience for you by ensuring experienced staff are managing your special event.
When not at work, you could find me: Bird watching along the Bair Island Bay Trail in Redwood Shores.
One meal I cannot live without: Fried Thai omelet (my specialty!) with freshly steamed jasmine rice and garnished with green onions.
Megan Dahlberg
Sr. Event Specialist
Megan Dahlberg joined the B&B Catering team in 2021, quickly becoming a valuable part of the sales & design team. Her passion planning events for family and friends pushes her to go above and beyond for her clients, helping them bring their event to life. With previous experience with Mazzetti’s Bakery in Pacifica, Megan especially shines coordinating weddings, both small and large. With meticulous attention to detail and boundless creativity, she imbues each event with a sense of magic and personalized touch, ensuring that every client's vision is not just realized but brought to life in a way that surpasses their expectations. With an innate knack for transforming visions into tangible realities, Megan stands as an indispensable asset in transforming dreams into memorable occasions.
When not at work, you could find me: Watching the SF Giants or hanging out with my dog, Daisy.
One meal I cannot live without: Dessert! Specifically, chocolate chip cookies.
Brittany Ferguson
Event Specialist
Brittany Ferguson started her journey in the hospitality industry at a young age through various roles in the restaurant world, from hosting to serving and eventually practicing mixology as a bartender. In 2021, she received a pivotal opportunity at an elite golf course, where she flourished in curating unforgettable experiences for her clients. It was in this environment where she learned her passion was in event & wedding planning. With an innate flair for creativity, she orchestrated a variety of events including corporate lunches, weddings, and social soirées. Brittany's commitment to nurturing client relationships serves as the cornerstone of her passion for event management, where she thrives in bringing others' dreams to fruition. Beyond her professional work, Brittany finds joy in the kitchen, making memories alongside her loved ones.
When not at work you can find me: With my two dogs Peanut & Butter, or on the golf course with friends

Faces you may recognize at your event
An integral part of our team includes our Front-of-House team members, such as our Event Chefs & Event Managers. These individuals help ensure a successful event from the moment they arrive for set-up, all the way through clean up and breakdown.
Collectively, our Event Managers have 15+ years working with B&B Catering & Events. Starting as servers, they were promoted to Event Managers due to their exceptional leadership skills and strong attention to detail at events. With a unique approach to managing the staff, their goal is to exceed your expectations on-site by leading the team and providing exceptional service.
